Anton Kvitkovskikh: “We have time to analyze our mistakes and correct them”

The Lokomotiv Kuban forward spoke on the outcome of Game 2 of the semi-final series against CSKA (71:84, the series score is 1-1).
Loko started off well. What happened then?
We probably just lost the level of aggression we had in the last game and at the start of today. At one point, we had 3 turnovers in a row. They closed in on us through those turnovers and took the initiative. But that's basketball; mistakes are inevitable. We have time to analyze them and correct them, and then we move on.
What did the coach talk about during timeouts?
Mostly, he tried to cheer us up, support us emotionally. Even in difficult moments, he usually tries to find some positive aspects. And we try to think more about the good things rather than about any mistakes.
And what good things would you note of today’s game?
The start was good, and we were able to respond well to CSKA's pressure. Even when we struggled offensively, we still supported each other and helped each other out. And we continued to believe and fight until the very end.
At the end of the 4th quarter, you had to take medical assistance. What happened?
Both my hips cramped up at the same time. I'm totally fine now.
The arena was much fuller today, and the Lokomotiv fan section was moved to the very top. Could you see or hear them?
In Game 1, we had incredible support from our fans. You could hear them louder than the CSKA fans. Today, perhaps because of the crowd, it felt different, but we still knew our fans were there, that they were supporting us, and at certain moments we could hear them. Thanks to them for coming, for coming, for rooting for us, for believing in us. We strive to do our job better and make our fans happy.
