A Lokomotiv Kuban forward assessed the outcome of the semifinal series against CSKA and supposed which opponent in the upcoming bronze-medal series would be better to face.
- Looking back to the semi-finals, what is the first thing you remember?
- Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is our effort. I feel like every game we knew what we were up against with an opponent like CSKA and all of the guys came ready to play and we put up a fight. Unfortunately, it's not the result that we wanted, but I feel like we can still walk away proud of what we were able to do.
- Patrick Miller said that throughout the semi-final series Loko became a better team.
- That's true. Yeah, absolutely. I feel like in the playoffs, there's many moments where your character is going to be tested individually and as a team and I feel like we stepped up in each of those moments. From a team perspective we rallied behind each other, supported each other, put our head down and kept fighting, and I think that was the main takeaway from this semi-final series.
- Tomorrow UNICS and Zenit will play their Game 7. What team in your opinion will be better to play against for Loko?
- I feel like we match up well against Zenit, we've been able to get a few wins against them throughout the season. They're playing really good basketball right now. But I feel like we match up well against them and I feel like that's the favorable opponent for us.
- What about the motivation for the bronze series?
- We're still locked in. The season's not over, and we still have things that we want to accomplish obviously. Getting the bronze medal for this club is going to be a big historic moment. So I think everybody's locked in and ready to go and still finish off the season strong.
