UNICS has become only the second team in the history of the VTB United League to win a best-of-7 series after trailing 1–3.
A streak dating back to the 2020–21 season has come to an end—a run during which Lokomotiv Kuban had faced UNICS in every single playoff campaign.
This season, Loko and Zenit have played each other 4 times. Our team won 3 of those encounters (89:80 and 95:85 at home; 81:72 away) and lost once—though that single defeat (69:98) was by a bigger margin that all our 3 combined.
The first 2 games of the 3rd-place series will take place on June 1 and 3 in St. Petersburg (start times will be announced very soon). The best-of-5 series will then shift to Krasnodar, where we play on June 7 at 4:00 PM and (if necessary) on June 9 at 8:00 PM. Game 5, should it be required, is scheduled for June 12 in St. Petersburg.
