Mike Moore: “We just need to continue to fight”

What wasn't enough to win today?

We increased our fight from the last game. That was our main focus but we still came up short. Now we have to prepare to go home and try to win two games at home.

When you say "we increased our fight", what exactly do you mean?

I think the main thing is our energy and our effort. It has to be consistent to give us a chance. As long as we can take care of that, then the X's and O's and the shots, all of those things will come. But, you know, it's tough. We gave our all today. We were leading the game, and then towards the end, we kind of... I don't know if we got fatigued or just made some mistakes, lost focus, but we have to try to bounce back when we go home.

What was the main reason for these mistakes at the end? Was it emotions or you were tired?

It's a combination of things. With a high-intensity game like that you know guys definitely get tired, get fatigued, but we have to try to stay focused and value each possession down the stretch. We just need to continue to fight like we did today, just clean up. Some of the mistakes we made, the little things, and I think we'll be fine when we go home. Being in front of our home crowd, our fans, gives us a lot of energy. Hopefully that'll give us the extra push we need to get these two wins at home.

What can you say to the fans that were at the stands and the ones who watched the game on TV?

We appreciate the support, as always, from the beginning of the season until now. You guys help us, like I said, with our energy. Them traveling here is no little thing. So I know everybody on the team appreciates it and we're looking forward to seeing you guys at home.
