Center Ruslan Abdulbasirov has joined Lokomotiv Kuban PBC. The agreement runs until the end of the 2026-27 season.
Abdulbasirov is familiar to old red-green fans: from 2012 to 2014, he played for Lokomotiv Kuban’s youth team. Ruslan captained the Russian student team at the 2017 Summer Universiade and also won the 2024/25 VTB United League and the 2024 Super Cup with CSKA Moscow.
The center spent last season with UNICS. In 38 league games, he averaged 3.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists, and 0.2 steals per 10 minutes. His three-point shooting percentage was 52.6%.
