Hadzibegovic’s first professional club was Qatar’s Al-Khor. While playing for this side, he became a Qatari citizen and began representing the Qatari national team. He later played for Runa Moscow in the Superliga, Zielona Góra, Lietkabelis, Al-Sadd (the 2022 Qatari champions), and the London Lions (with whom he reached the EuroCup semifinals).
Hadzibegovic began the 2025/26 season with Avtodor, where he excelled: in 19 games, his stats are 17.6 points, 8.7 rebounds (incl. 3.1 offensive), 1.5 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.2 blocks. At the time of his transfer to Lokomotiv Kuban, Alen led the league in rebounds, was third in blocks, and fifth in scoring and efficiency (20.4 points). He played in the VTB United League All-Star Game, logging 23 minutes and recording four points, six rebounds, one assist, and one block.
