Interview

Kirill Yelatontsev: “It was important to play well to set the right tone for the season”

Several successful actions in a row by the Loko center in the 3rd quarter of the game with Yenisei helped stop the opponent’s run and secure the win, 88:65.
What are your emotions from the first game at Basket Hall after a long off-season?
The most positive ones! I missed this atmosphere. At the start of the game, I felt a bit weird, because we hadn't played here for a long time. But gradually I got used to it, and everything went as it should. It's very nice that we have so much support. And I'm glad that we thanked our fans with a victory.
How did you manage to beat Yenisei with such a big margin?
Thanks to good teamwork and aggression, it was very important to play well to set the right tone for the whole season.
What can you say about your own performance today?
I don't like to talk about myself, let others judge.
The next game is coming very soon. What are your expectations?
Exactly the same as from the first. We will try to play to the maximum, only to win. Therefore, we want to see a lot of fans, so that the support will be like at the match with Yenisei, or even stronger.
