A Lokomotiv Kuban guard answered questions from journalists after the defeat to CSKA in the semifinals (92:103; 1–4 in the series).
- What can you say about the game?
- It was a tough one. For yet another time, we made the same mistake: just as we took control of the game, we immediately conceded easy points and fell behind by 15–20 points once again. Against an opponent like CSKA, you simply cannot let yourself get into such a situation. They are an experienced team; to make up that kind of deficit against them, you need to pull off a heroic feat. And today, we failed to pull off that feat...
- In the first 4 games of the series, Loko scored a total of 23 three-pointers, whereas today you scored 15. Did you place a special emphasis on perimeter shooting today?
- Our special emphasis for today was to play as a team and move the ball. And make three-pointers, too—yes. If you look back at those games against CSKA where we lost, you can see that we were hesitant to shoot from beyond the arc. Today we improved in that regard, but we fell short in other areas...
- Can we say that Loko lacked experience im that series?
- I wouldn't say that. For sure, we're a young team, and experience isn't our main strength. But we have other ones—character and desire. Maybe we really did lack a bit of experience in some areas, but overall, we played quite well in the semifinal series.
