Welcome, Andrei!

Lokomotiv Kuban PBC signed a contract with forward Andrei Lopatin, the agreement runs until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Lopatin is a graduate of the CSKA Academy and a prominent figure in Russian basketball of his generation. He won three VTB United Youth League championships and was named MVP of the 2018 Final Eight tournament. Internationally, he played in the 2015 European U18 All-Star Game and twice in the VTB United League All-Star Game (2023 and 2024).

The forward spent last season with UNICS, where he won the championship’s silver medal. He averaged 20 minutes and 40 seconds per game, averaging 7.1 points on 44.7% three-point shooting, along with 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks. His plus-minus (7.1) was the best on the team among players with more than half of games played.

Tomislav Tomović, the head coach for Lokomotiv Kuban PBC

I'm glad Lopatin is now with us. He's a talented guy who played a key role for a strong club in the previous two seasons. His shooting is particularly impressive; he's one of the most accurate shooters among forwards in the VTB United League. I'm also convinced that, given his age, Andrei has the potential to improve significantly in many areas. I'm confident he'll fit perfectly into Lokomotiv's lineup.
