The Lokomotiv alum shared his impressions of his first game in the NBA Summer League, where his Dallas Mavericks lost to the Golden State Warriors (90:101).
- What can you say about your Summer League debut?
- Not as good as I'd hoped, but that's okay. I'll keep trying to make things better.
- How did you feel when your coach first told you, “Get ready, you’re going out now”?
- It was such a sudden substitution, I didn’t even have time to think about anything before going out onto the court, but that’s probably for the best.
- From the outside, it seemed like you were gaining more and more confidence as the match progressed. How did you feel?
- In my opinion, I was completely confident from the very beginning. I didn't have many opportunities to show this, but this is only the first game.
- Did the coach give you any individual assignments before the game? And did he say anything after the game?
- Before the game, I was told to do my best: score points, make assists, collect rebounds—a little bit of everything. And after the game, the coach praised me, saying I played well, even though I think I could have done better.
- Are you communicating well with other Mavericks' players?
- Of course. There are no problems at all in terms of communication. Everyone is friendly and really enjoys chatting.
- Did you have time to see Las Vegas?
- Only from the bus window. It's very hot here, and, honestly there's no time to wander around.
