Andrei Vedischev president of PBC Lokomotiv Kuban

Invitation of Bob Donewald was an unusual experience. He became a head coach in a difficult time for the team, showed us a different style of coaching and changed the chemistry among the players. Donewald is an interesting person and a coach, but in the end, he couldn’t show the result in playoffs. Now we have negotiations with a few coaches, that will be able to develop the potential of the team and club’s strategy.

Bob Donewald

I would like to personally thank Andrey Vedishev and Lokomotiv Kuban for trusting me to turn the team around under what was widely known as a difficult period for the club. I really enjoyed the challenge and was proud of my players for the work they put in to get the club playing high-level basketball again. I would also like to thank my assistant coaches for all their hard work, the people in the club who will always be considered friends, and of course my captain and vice-captain Vitaly Fridzon and Dmitry Kulagin who were absolute warriors for me under difficult circumstances. I wish the club nothing but the best moving forward and look forward to seeing the great fans of Loko sometime in the near future.
