Lokomotiv Kuban part ways with head coach Luca Banchi

Luca Banchi is leaving his position due to the early termination of the contract.

We want to thank Luca for his work and wish him good luck in a future carrier.

Bogdan Karaicic is appointed the acting head coach.

The decision was based on the results, and the quality of the basketball showed by the team. We gave some time to head coach to fix the issue and make changes. But Luca Banchi was not able to find the leaders and right tactical decisions to succeed. The team lost the spirit, and it turned into the results. We have talented, ambitious players that can do more.

Bogdan is appointed the acting head coach, and he is going to lead the team for the next two games. It won’t be easy, because at this point the position in the Eurocup is critical. But we had to make that decision to fix the current situation. We have to pull ourselves together because now every game is crucial. Players must unite and move forward to our main goal.
