Two of Loko’s trainees were named among the five best players of the VTB Youth League Final Four 2023. For Kirill Temirov, the Red-Green captain, this award is the second of his career. Last season he was also named the best forward of the Final Eight.
In the semifinal game with Khimki-2 both Temirov and Shchetinin were leading scorers: Kirill scored 14 points (plus 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals), Sergey scored 13 points (plus 2 rebounds). In the battle for gold against IBA-2, Schetinin was the highest-scoring player with 15 points (he also had 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals). Remarkably, he scored Loko-2’s first points in both games. Krasnodar captain Temirov scored 7 points, had 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Also in the symbolic five of the Final Four were Egor Ryzhov (Zenit-M), Andrey Toptunov (Zenit-M) and Maxim Savchenko (Mba-2). And Kirill Elatontsev was named the best player of the game. In the semifinal game against Khimki-2 he scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, and in the final game against MBA-2 Kirill was one of the most productive players of both teams. He recorded double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds (plus 2 assists and a block shot).
Kirill played 14 games for the youth team this season, averaging 14.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots. Additionally, Elatontsev has no equal in terms of blocked shots.
